Poetry Aloud

On Tuesday 7th November, three of our year 8 girls took part in the Poetry Aloud Speaking Competition, Ireland in the Linen Hall Library, Belfast. The girls recited one prescribed poem by Patrick Kavanagh and a poem of their selection. The competition was of an immensely high standard, as the girls competed against other pupils from schools around Ulster. Lorin Savage, Kate O’ Rourke and Faith Murtagh recited their poems confidently, clearly and with passion and did themselves, Miss Boyle and New-Bridge very proud!
